Butterfly Cuff

Hand pierced Sterling Silver catch on laser cut leather cuff. I draw in deep black ink across skin - graffiti style, then lift this pattern into silver and leather.. The twisted pattern in the cuff contains this poem..



Butterfly.

The heady scent of lavender hits the air
As morning’s tears melt away
Forgotten words.
Rising up from summer’s salty dew
She stumbles into the light.


The morning lingers, to catch her in it’s grasp
Fragile moments of past love
Tumble forwards.
Sweet breath, uncaptured, fades into fall
As it darkens into night.
